Shinjuku
Street performance in front of Lumine.
2 men were half naked, doing weird dance(posture??). the music was Great!!! they looked like ghosts with that white painting on the bodies.
Shinjuku
i always felt like i should snap pix of Shinjuku, one of the biggest town in tokyo. sooo relieved to snap it after all!!(^^)/
if my friends come to japan, i should definately take them to Shibuya, Shinjuku first. then maybe Odaiba(tokyo bay), Roppongi(night clubs area) and Akihabara(electric town).
oh nooooo! havent snapped Odaiba yet.
hope somebody else will do that on flickr so that i can blog that pic. haha~

2 coworkers took a month vacation, went back to Lanka.
therefore, my work increased 2-3 times more than usual...(=_=)
my boss is still going to see his baby in hospital everyday. shes now 900g. we are saying that he should buy 1000g of cake when she becomes 1000g.
he also picks up his girl from kindergarten at 2:30pm daily.
yeah hes making a good father, but i WISH my work environment will get back to Normal...(boss, coworkers all together, help each other) like before!!!! *Sigh*

typhoon
typhoon called "Banyan" hit tokyo metro area tonight. (ref Japan Times on the right hand. there is a small pic.)
my coworkers were saying,
"oh noooo~!! japan has got everything. big earthquake, typhoon, then wat is coming up next??" (^o^);;
i was in the office all day. so didnt see rainstorm or anything tho.
the news reported 5 men injured.(all were repairing roof of their houses and fell off)
mom was horrified again and rang me several times. but i was in the cafe, having chicken & egg bagles.
"Go home, hurry!!! the trains might be stopped!" she said.
"doesnt matter mom. the trains stopped yesterday too."
"how come??"
"somebody comitted suicide."
and the cafe was unusually crowded. i think ppl who wanted to see rainstorm gathered there. too bad (too good??)
probably next month we'll see!

quake
there was a big quake in tokyo metropolitan area at 4:35pm. magnitude 5.7.
23 persons injured. 44 elevators lost control. heard that was the biggest quake since 1992.
all the trains, metro, narita airport, highways had suspended services for a while. (some trains are still stopped. the main train yamanote line recovered around 8pm.)
i was taking a nap when it jolted. (haha~lazy saturday)(^o^);; mom was horrified and rang me up 2 times, asked abt damage. luckily one stuffed animal fell off, and nothing else was found. i heard a big bang-bang noise tho. maybe it was my neighbour's dishes???

thai restaurant
got a surprise call from energy-san, and we went to Bangkok Kitchen or something in Jiyugaoka.
she ordered green curry(abt $10),
i ordered rice noodle with no soup(abt $7). but they made mistake and brought noodle with soup.(=_=)
as i complained, they brought another bowl of noodle later. but it was sodden and yak!! (obviously the same noodle they brought before)!!!!!
i like to pour vinegar & chili on this kind of noodle tho. it was tooo late to do anything with that wet noodle.
its okay, the thai staff were pretty cute and we had good times indeed.

wat im watching is John Candy's "Only the Lonely". he was a great canadian actor. cant believe he died at the age of 43. i searched John Candy and learned that he had heart attack. and his birthday was Oct 31, Halloween....same with me(^o^);; some ppl say Halloween babies sound awful/weird, but John proved that we are not so bad. haha~

japanese literature
i forgot to write abt japanese books yesterday. sorry~(^o^);;
these are 2 books i like:
"Confession of a Mask" by Yukio Mishima
he was a genius! i think hollywood made his movie "MISHIMA" in 1980's.
"No Longer Human" by Osamu Dazai is also great. hes not as famous as Mishima worldwide. but its always cool to talk abt this book.
both authors committed suicide in the end. Mishima cut himself by sword, Dazai was drowned in tama river..:))

Chindonya-san
Yay~!! He was playing taiko drum, and handing flyers in Oimachi. lucky me that he posed and smiled for a moment. they are called as "Chindonya-san", derived from the sounds of bell chin-chin(ding-ding) and the drum don-don. seldom seen in japan nowadays.

today's useless work
i thought it might be cool to place a map of my location in this blog, like other frens blog.
so, went to feedmap.net from nikhil's blog, enter address etc, got my badge to paste in the template. yay~(^^)/
after reproducing entire blog, a wonderful map appeared in the bottom. wat i saw was "Africa, Gobi Desert" in the middle of the map!?????
god...did i type Anything Wrong?? lololol
i couldnt believe my eyes, so reproduced entire blog again, then glanced up in surprise.
"Inner Mongolia" was written in the map!!! (^o^);;;;

weather...
the temperature dropped to 22C. felt lazy to go out today. thought i might be able to see my frens cam, but this comp sucks and keeps d/c since i installed messenger BETA..(>_<) oh noo i might have to uninstall it!???
there were quotes abt mistakes in krishna's blog, which reminded me of Oscar Wilde's famous quote. so i checked out websites of his 200 quotes.
yeah i was looking for this one:
"Experience is simply the name we give our mistakes."
this is somehow encouraging..(^-^);; it is not only me who keeps making mistakes. haha!
and this one was funny:
"Conversation about the weather is the last refuge of the unimaginative."
LOL.. i think im talking abt weather too much.
and this one struck my heart:
"We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at stars."

fired~
yuki was supposed to be fired today. but she didnt show up..(^o^);;
"ive been very sick. have feever for 2 weeks. dunno why but i wont be able to work for a while."
she hesitated on the phone. probably her instinct made her...
i think its a smart choice of her. when u feel like that u cant cope with new environment, u'd better run away.
i was fired by some evil bosses before. but at that time, i was juz working desperately until they say good-bye(^-^);; cuz i thought its irresponsible to quit whether they dislike me or not.
90% of these cases will juz worsen the relationship and nothing get better unless i devote 10 million yen to the company...*sigh*
there was one unforgettable boss in a foreign model agency. he was a manager, called as "fox" due to his mean looking small eyes. one model was awfully upset with him and cried out "Call the Cops!!" when they argued. i thought that was fox's fault, so juz looking at their fight amusingly.
the fox was too weak to fire that model, so instead he asked me to come to the coffee shop the following day....lol
"how do like ur new workplace? its been a month..", he was asking some questions. after 10 min or so, he said, "u dont have to come to work from tomorrow."....lol
(hey hey u were fighting with that model, not me. dont mix up!!) i wanted to talk back. but he was juz telling me how much i was disrespectful.(*^o^*)
wat was funny, then he tried to split the bill (juz abt $3). so i ignored him and walked away.
the following day, received a furious phone call from the fox.
"since u told him(the model) that ur fired, hes more upset now. totally lost control!! why did u tell him!".....lol
that company closed down in a few yrs.
i wonder where the fox is now...
